Howdy ya'll. My name is Andy and this is a brand new music blog for a little experiment I'm conducting! I am a keyboard player and producer and a longtime hobby of mine is to make new sounds for my keyboards. I know how hard it can be to get usable sounds out of my keyboards so I decided to try out some new sounds and share them all with anyone who wants to use them.


Here's how it works: I'll make a few new sounds every month and post mp3 recordings of me playing them, and a brief description on this blog. Anyone who wants them can send me an email and I'll send them the sounds on the blog to try. Simple as that! For now, I'll be rotating sounds for Logic, Mainstage, Reason, and Nord keyboards.

Had the privilege of working with Ms. Anna Nelson once again on this cover of Rainbow by Oh Land.  Enjoy!

Production note: the sound in the first verse behind the lead vocal is a vocoder.  Instead of making the first verse completely a cappella, I used the vocoder on a second track of vocals to outline the chords behind Anna’s voice.  This gives the listener a reference of how the melody is interacting with the chord structure of the verse in a subtle way but because the phrasing is exactly the same on both the lead and vocoder, the first verse still sounds almost a cappella. :)
